Job summary

This is a senior role reporting directly to the Head of Compliance in Pioneer Investments, based in Dublin. The purpose of this role is to ensure oversight of the controls and perform monitoring as required under Market Abuse Regulations and MiFID. This role will also provide support to the firm as it enhances its trading control environment in preparation for MiFID II. This role will primarily require ongoing review of investment trading activity and controls as well as regular interaction with both Portfolio Managers and Traders.

Duties and responsibilities
• Performance of monitoring controls including investigations to ensure compliance with Market Abuse regulations and trade surveillance requirements under MiFID.
• Provide timely and accurate advice and assistance to Investment personnel
• Liaise with middle office and other departments as necessary to investigate and resolve trading queries.
• Proactive in avoiding issues and resolving queries.
• Ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are up-to-date and new policies / processes are implemented where necessary.
• Ensure all relevant Trade Surveillance registers, reports and processes are maintained to a high standard and issues are escalated to Compliance management and others (e.g. Head of Trading) as necessary.
• Contribute to Trade Surveillance projects / business initiatives as and when required.
• Support the MiFID II projects to enhance trading controls.

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

Third level Qualification in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting Qualification

Technical skills required

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Financial Services preferably with exposure to Asset Management
