Job summary

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an OTC Derivatives Manager to join our OTC Derivative Middle Office team. We work in a collaborative environment across different departments where flexibility, innovation and intellectual curiosity are highly valued.


Why this role is important to us

The OTC Derivative Middle Office team plays an important role in supporting Investments with the trading process and acting as an intermediary between the Trading desks and the Back Office functions. The team monitor and oversee the Trade Matching and Settlement process for all CDS and TRS. 


What you will be responsible for

  • Manager for the OTC Derivative Middle Office in Dublin, reporting into the Head of Trade Management and acting as point of escalation when necessary.
  • Monitor and control the OTC Derivative trade flow from start to finish. Identify process weaknesses and assist in implementing improvements.
  • Ensure the team is organized to complete the required tasks, delegate tasks and set deadlines, monitor workload across the team, and identify training requirements and progress.
  • Update and Review internal procedures and KPI’s as necessary.
  • Represent the team in key internal and external meetings.
  • Participate in core projects both locally and globally as required.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the traders and escalate issues as required.
  • Monitor the matching status of all trades, investigating any highlighted issues with brokers.
  • Ensure any new funds are correctly setup within the trading system and any fund changes are correctly reflected both internally and on external platforms.
  • Work with Compliance, Risk, Client Services and any other internal support teams to resolve queries or issues related to the Trade flow.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all third parties involved with the trading and settlement process including Custodians, Fund Accountants and brokers.
  • Participate and contribute with any broker or third parties reviews to ensure any problems are discussed and resolved
  • Investigate and resolve any claims resulting from issues with trade workflow.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• Minimum 5 years of experience with OTC Derivatives.
• In-depth knowledge of OTC Derivative instruments and life cycle events.
• Knowledge of requirements for EMIR, UMR, Clearing.
• Experience using, DTCC, MarkitWire. Use of Murex an advantage.
• Fluent English. French an added benefit (not a requirement).
