Job summary

Global Data Management is responsible to supply financial data to our internal & external clients through ALTO investment, our proprietary Portfolio Management System covering the entire asset management value chain. Together with other GDM teams in Europe and US, we ensure round-the-clock access to high-quality financial data.
Tokyo GDM team is playing a key role as the first office to open in the world, ensuring financial data to be properly set before Europe and US offices open. Our responsibility also includes issuing quality report on a daily base and distributing it to users. We manage all kind of global financial data including equities, bonds, currencies, derivatives, indexes and portfolios.

You will have to ensure the quality of data integration processes and answer questions from stakeholders to help them to run their businesses on our proprietary investment platform ALTO investment.• Monitor the integration process and perform quality control to ensure data accuracy. Quickly analyze issues through existing controls or tailor-made SQL queries, and take immediate action for short-term correction and analyze root cause for long-term resolution• Creation of financial instruments in internal tool• Analyze and understand precisely requests from users with various profiles (PM, Risk, MO, Trading, Reporting) and be able to convey complex concepts in a simple and clear manner• Constantly evaluate systems, processes, and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement• Act as project manager between business team and IT to implement system change

Academic qualification / Speciality

Degree in Finance, Engineering or Technology preferred

Technical skills required

Familiar with capital markets (equities, fixed income, derivatives, funds, indices…)
• Experience in programing languages (SQL, Python, VBA) with ability to execute autonomously or to create new codes from scratch
• Use technical skills (like SQL, Python) to ensure the accuracy of large analytical data sets, automate processes with scripts and efficiently query information from a vast database
• Ability to work simultaneously on a wide range of topics with different systems
• Enjoy a fast paced, demanding and complex environment, troubleshooting time sensitive issues
