Job summary

Overall Purpose of the Job:

Working in close collaboration with the Global Press Team, the role holder will be responsible for supporting all Global, Pan-European and UK press based in London. The role holder’s objectives will be to raise  standing and reputation through acting as a key media relations contact.

Main Accountabilities:

  • The role holder will play a key role to implement the global PR activities as part of the global PR strategy. They will be actively involved in organizing various media initiatives in London to raise Amundi’s profile in the international press.
  • As part of the global PR strategy, the role holder will be responsible for:
  • Promoting the brand and raising overall company profile 
  • Increasing visibility on key products to support Amundi’s marketing & sales efforts : helping sales teams in their commercial efforts by generating press coverage on focus funds and other ad hoc requests e.g. new product launch.
  • Positioning Amundi as a thought leader: promoting Amundi thinking and thought leadership in the press.
  • The role holder will work closely with Global Press Team and Head of Communication UK to drive the PR strategy in the UK.
  • Develop and manage delivery of messages to the media through the most appropriate means, e.g. press releases, press conferences, press articles, newsletters etc.
  • The role holder will assure the respect of the press procedure.
  • Crisis Management:
  • Will work in close collaboration with global PR team to manage any crisis situation in the press, with the objective to control & minimize reputational and brand damage.
  • Leverage & influence media relationships.
  • Together with the head of communication, work with the external PR agency ensuring consistency of strategy, messages, positioning and sharing of ideas
  • You would also be expected to support the Head of Communication on other communication activities such as internal communications, events, branding and advertising if required, but this would not be a core component of the role. 
  • The role holder will adhere to FCA rules and principles and the Firm’s policies and procedures.  Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from Head of Compliance.

Key Skills:

  • 4/5 years’ + experience in corporate communications role in Financial services
  • Excellent communication skills: being articulate and enthusiastic in verbal, written and face-to- face dealings
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an external agency.
  • A creative flair, generating new ideas and commanding the ability to think outside-the-box
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • Fluency in English is essential. Other European language skills such as French is preferable
  • Capital markets and/or macroeconomic knowledge and financial services experience is beneficial
