Missions
This position will be based in Mumbai for a complete immersion in the local investment team of Amundi Indian JV, SBIMF.
The mission will be to support the ESG team in India with the head of research and the ESG team in consonance with Amundi ESG research team
The candidate should be eager to learn about the evolving ESG framework in relatively nascent emerging markets and should be able to appreciate cultural and historical differences in approaches of global north vs global south.
We can expect fast growth in Indian regulation around ESG disclosures, investing and ratings. In this respect, the candidates should:
- Have either educational background or experience in ESG related fields like corporate sustainability, CSR, environment, health and safety functions or corporate ESG rating/reporting
- Have keen interest and competency in reading sustainability/CSR reports and co-relate them with annual financial reports
- Have analytical skills to assess data presented in such reports to understand and communicate ESG risks and opportunities
- Have a deep understanding of good governance principles that can help the ESG team in proxy voting activities
- Understanding of TCFD based reporting and assessments based on physical and transition risks are desirable
