Job summary

Within the IT team in charge of Development and Application support the candidate will mainly provide user support on various applications. This position will also involve providing small tools/solutions development for ad hoc needs and the participation in project management.

This position is an opportunity to work with various business lines such as Investment, Trading, Operation and Risk and understand how an Asset Management is functioning.
This position is also an opportunity to learn about finance and financial products.

 

  • Provide first level of support to users mainly on Global IT Platform but also on local Japanese software and local developments
  • Escalate to second level of support if necessary and ensure issues are solved
  • Organize the follow up / prioritization of issues and enhancement requests
  • With the users, their business line and the global IT teams (Global IT Platform)
  • With the local vendors (Local Japanese software)
  • Manage reports and KPI related to issues and reliability plans
  • Write specifications for new needs, features upgrades or maintenance related topics
  • Develop VBA macros or Python scripts to help users in daily tasks

Financial knowledge - experience in a financial institution would be a plus (Bank or Asset Management)

Required skills

Soft Skills required

  • Ability to understand technically and functionally complex Asset Management software developed in foreign countries
  • Clear and synthetic written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate with foreign teams
  • Understand user needs and reformulate them in specifications. Assess cost/benefit of such needs to be able to explain them to committees that will prioritize them.
  • Be rigorous and tenacious to make sure requests and issues are properly addressed by vendors or European support and development teams
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

 

Experience and other requirements

  • Knowledge in Finance, preferably in Asset Management

Technical skills required

  • Excel/VBA or Python knowledge to be able to answer to users basic/quick needs
  • Experience in development (C#, Java, Python) would be a plus

Languages

Proficiency in English. French and Japanese would be a strong plus
