Job summary

 

Duties and responsibilities :

The Head of Compliance contributes to defining and implementing the appropriate compliance program regarding the prevention and monitoring of non-compliance risks. In that respect: he/she:

  • Supervises the entity’s non-compliance risk management system, in particular related to customer protection, financial security, market integrity, ethical rules and the prevention of fraud and corruption:
    • Performs 2nd level of control on the operational management and ensures that the necessary alerts related to compliance deficiencies are properly managed and escalated
    • Expresses compliance opinions / recommendations on customers, products, activities and non-compliance risks, in order to accompany business development efficiently
  • Oversees the definition and implementation of compliance control plans, as well as the mapping of non-compliance risks
  • Acts as “RC”, responsible for AML/CFT controls of the entity and certain funds
  • Disseminates the culture of compliance: ensures that employees are aware of compliance issues, that they are kept informed and well-trained, and that compliance risks are taken into account for strategic decisions
  • Provides recommendations to and alerts the Senior Management, where relevant
  • Regularly informs the governing bodies (Entity, SICAV) and reports to Amundi Compliance Business Line centrally
  • Acts as the Secretary of Amundi Luxembourg’s Compliance Committee,
  • Is a direct contact of control authorities and regulators (CSSF, CNPD,
    AED …) and reports on non-compliance risks to the CSSF on an annual basis
  • Manages the compliance teams and assesses and monitors the requirements necessary to the functioning of his department

Minimal education level

Academic qualification / Speciality

University Degree and relevant professional experience

Level of minimal experience

11 years and more

Experience

  • Minimum 10-15+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Statutory/Internal Audits, Risk management, and/or Controls, ideally in the fund industry
  • Proven track record of successfully leading compliance functions

Required skills

  • Strong analytical mind-set and problem-solving attitude with the ability to interpret complex problems
  • Good personal relationship and communication skills to interact at all levels efficiently

Technical skills required

  • Good knowledge of key Luxembourg and European regulations related to UCITS and AIFM

Languages

Fluency in English, any other major European language being an advantage
