Missions

Investment

Achieve best performance (information ratio, or alternative measures depending on the strategy, could be absolute or excess return, Sharpe ratio) in line the clients, internal and regulatory guidelines. To reach this goal, the role holder will:

  •  Manage EUR IG credit portfolios and credit positions within the EUR credit team on Paris. It involves EUR Investment Grade credit portfolios, pockets of credit portfolios managed in other teams with different risk budget and constraints (Low/High TE, Total and absolute return) and pay off profiles (Active Benchmark , Maturity funds…) ; 
  • Assist in the development of overall credit investment strategies and provide recommendations to the team and collaborate with other teams
    Actively participate to Credit Investment committees. This includes Monthly global credit committees, Euro credit committees, credit analyst sector reviews, ESG reviews …but also day to day trades ideas ;

  • Implement policies approved by management and the investment committee ;

  • Develop, upgrade, maintain tools that will help detect trades ideas and support investment decisions. It includes monitoring systems and spreadsheet ;

  • ESG integration is an integral part of our investment process and must be taken into account, identifying factors and assessing materiality ;

  • Engage and leverage resources within the group (Financial Analysts, ESG specialist, PMs,…), within the Alpha Fixed Income Platform (London, Paris, Local hubs). Ensure good communication of the process and investment decisions in appropriate and timely manner. Wider interactions will enrich the credit process and also benefit the overall coherence of Amundi global investment views ;

  • Participate in sell side and external research meetings (sell side research, attending selected conferences, one –to one meeting with issuers,…) to enhance our process but also to engage and deliver Amundi’s views ;
    Portfolios risk analysis and performance monitoring ; 

  • Proactive participation in any investment or management projects or committees both locally and at the platform level as required ; 

  • Participate in product creation, and more generally to the product innovation process ;

  • In full liaison with and at the request of sales, interact with clients on all investment related issues as required and in a timely manner ;

  • Liaise constructively and in a timely manner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, Client Servicing, Investment Specialists, Sales and Marketing, Operations ;

  • Report Senior Management on all portfolio related issues ;

  • Update Senior Management of any issue as soon as possible ;

  • Engage in continuous development and learning to ensure skills and knowledge are at the required level.

 

Compléments

Client Servicing/ Business Development

  • Assist in producing marketing documents, RFPs, client’s reports, enquiries by providing quantitative and technical support ; 
  • The PM should participate in the development of new strategies and funds, analyses and assess competitions and market trends in the industry as innovation is a way to make sure Amundi can provide existing or potential clients with new investment solutions.

 

Regulatory

  • To comply with the risk framework provided by the local regulator, the client’s guidelines and Amundi policy ;
  • To comply with external regulations and internal operating procedures ;
  • Implement defined strategies and client requested changes in a timely and accurate manner ;
  • Ensure portfolio exposures and limits are adhered to and any breaches dealt with according to operating procedures and client agreements ;
  • Report to various committees and Risk Managers on performance of all investments ;
  • Provide Compliance and Risk Management Departments with all necessary information they require to fulfil their monitoring obligations ;
  • To pass any required regulatory examinations in the agreed time frame ;
  • Undertake appropriate and relevant training to maintain competence for the role in the agreed time frame

Expérience

Minimum 5-10 years’ experience of active management track record is preferable. Mutual funds and institutional mandates.

Compétences recherchées

• Given the focus on credit fixed income, strong actuarial skills coupled with deep understanding of micro (financial analysis) and macroeconomics concepts are required. ESG integration is also key ;

• The candidate must be used to (and enjoy) beauty contests, consultant meetings and more generally client facing (reporting) ;

• Passionate, reactive and rigorous about their work, the candidate must be able to work in a team.
