Job summary

Amundi has established a Derivative team and is continuing to developing internal system and knowledge capabilities to meet high standard requirements on this area of the business. The successful candidate will be willing to take on the challenge of helping Amundi to further develop the OTC derivative business.

Duties and responsibilities

The role entails:


·         Based in Dublin within the OTC Trade Management Department working on all aspects of OTC derivatives.

·         To gain a good working knowledge of the activities of the department and an in-depth knowledge of the systems used, solving problems as they arise.

·         To take part-ownership of building a business using OTC derivatives, working closely with Amundi’s Portfolio Managers, Trading Desks (internal and external) Fund Accountants, in house programmers and system providers to complete the project.

·         To monitor OTC derivative trade activity, working with various electronic platforms to confirm trades, with system providers to settle payments, and to recognise and resolve trade processing and life cycle problems.

·         To enhance Amundi’s ability to successfully introduce a variety of new OTC products and to  establish and document procedures.

·         To understand the “big picture” of the business and understand the effect Operations activities have on the rest of the company.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Academic qualification / Speciality

• A third level qualification in a relevant discipline.

Technical skills required

• Ability to classify securities, detailed knowledge of the different types of securities and currency transactions i.e. equities, bonds, loans, derivatives (Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Equity Swaps, Options, Total Return Swaps and Inflation Swaps) spot / forward contracts etc.
• Experience in the pricing of securities together with a detailed knowledge of the various information providers relative to this function.
• Experience in trade management (life of a trade).
• Experience in NAV calculation.
• Knowledge of DTCC, MarkitWire, Ice-Link, an advantage.
• At least 3 years' experience financial services, preferably with OTC Derivatives.
